Color, when applied to white diamonds, is often misunderstood by people outside the diamond industry.
Most people think that all white diamonds are colorless. Indeed, truly colorless diamonds are quite rare. The more diamonds used in jewelry are nearly colorless, with subdued yellow or brown. These diamonds fall in the normal color range.Within the normal color range, closest to colorless, the most desirable and valuable diamond.
In the 1950s, the GIA grading scale introduced the DZ color that remains the industry standard.

How to measure the color?
Color is more common white diamonds measured by comparing the diamond to a set of "master stones" of known color. The highest keystone is E-color. D Any diamonds better than the E-rated master of color is color.
Each color grade is actually a narrow range of colors. There is not an exact color any grade GIA. Therefore, an F-color diamond can be a strong, F, medium or weak color. However, while the diamond is better than the G-master of color, who receives an F-color grade.

Fluorescence
Fluorescence is a unique effect that makes some diamonds to produce a glow (usually blue or yellow) when exposed to a strong ultraviolet light. Some prefer a diamond with some 'blue fluorescence', because it can make the diamond in the 'near colorless "or" pale yellow "will look somewhat whiter.
In "colorless range, fluorescence has no effect on color, but may cause the diamond to have a slightly milky appearance.
Why is the color grade of a diamond is important?
The bright flashes, fire, light that radiate from a white diamond of high quality are unmatched by any other gem.
