Grey Silver

Is there such thing as a / Gray Silver Labrador Retriever? Or is it just a Weimaraner?
My brother and I always argue about it. He said he knows what is a Weimaraner is, but he says there is no such thing as a Silver / Gray Labrador Retriever. Does anyone know?
There are over 10 gene loci that color layer effect in dogs, with 2 or more alleles (gene variants) at each loci. Labs are basically one of three colors, black, chocolate and yellow, although other colors Less common / brands. Labs are fixed loci dominates black – With 2 major loci melanin production or effect of creating chocolate or yellow both are recessive. The color silver like the weimaraner adds another recessive gene in the mixture. This is the gene that causes the "blue" (not to be confused with blue merle), which also affects melanin production. The combination of chocolate and silver created blue (Isabella in many races), but many factors, mainly genetic, that can cause variation in color. http://homepage.usask.ca/ ~ / schmutz dogcolors.html http:// www.labbies.com/genetics2.htm
