What to be careful when buying a piece of city land?
I am thinking of buying several lots of the city (empty land, the house eliminated by seller). What should I consider when buying a piece of land? Besides, what are the disadvantages of owning a piece of city land?
Watch for foundations (often only covered with a few inches of fill dirt), plumbing, basements not properly filled, septic tanks or other hidden things (I found an old septic tank and water well in the mine, the pit was not a problem, but the collapse and septic cleaning, lines Side and rear fill was not as easy.) I got into another with a cespool which was about 60 meters deep that had to be sump and stuffed, we're lucky that do not leak. Taxes of weeds and trash cleanup
