Round Brillant
please help morning ENGLISH 3?
I am a debate speech. My speech is written and brilliant. But we also have a round of refutation where I have to convince people why Isaac Newton is more influential than bin Laden, Gandhi, Henry Ford, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King Jr., and Bill Gates. Can anyone help and give me a little pouints evil in this town, or why Isaac Newton is better than them.
The best way to demonstrate someone has more influence than others is to show that, without them, others could not have had the influence they had. I will not pretend to be an expert in all those people – have not investigated any of them recently! You could try to argue that – a lot of people on that list (for example, bin Laden, Gandi Luther Martin King, Bill Gates) are as influential as they are because the development of the media around the world that allowed many people to hear about them or by their words and actions and achievements. Since Isaac Newton discovered the nature of light and color, reaching the level of influence that was through television, photos, internet, etc. must exert its influence on him. – Isaac Newton developed the laws of motion – for Henry Ford is in his debt. It's a bit complicated to use same logic of Franklin and Jefferson, but Jefferson, one could argue that he was born into a prominent family and has managed to influence by becoming president, while Newton came from a poor family and not to help others achieve their influence, which means its only come from himself, no assistance from others or from his position. Franklin and Newton have similar social origins, but perhaps you could try to argue that much of the influence of Franklin was only in the U.S., while Newton had a series scientists from around the world than Franklin's influence (although obviously Franklin was influential in the world too, especially in relation to its inquiry electricity). Hope this helps and maybe give some ideas – is obviously very biased toward Newton, but if it helps then great – if not ignore it!
