Uncut Greenish

Could someone please help me with this question as biology?
Storage tissue in a plant cell has been proven to reduce the presence of sugar. 4 cylinders were cut from the root of the plant, each cylinder was exactly 3 cm long, were put in 5cm3 of distilled water in a test tube. After 5 minutes the sample from each test tube was tested with Benedict solution, here are the results: Tube A – cut into 5 equal parts – yellow green tube B – cut into 10 equal parts – yellow-red Tube C – cut into 15 equal parts – Brick RED TUBE D – UNCUT – blue color to recognize that more cuts made the most amount of invert sugar does not, however I do not know what it is. Also why not cut the root containing reducing sugars? Thank you very much:)
Plants transport sugars such as non-reducing sucrose does not react with Benedict's reagent. Once the sucrose reaches the storage cell that synthesizes starch. The segment would have little nip, but sucrose from the phloem exposed to react. The storage cell is cut reducing sugars more exposed. http://www.genome.jp/kegg/pathway/map/map00500.html
