Almost everyone has suffered from headaches at some point in their lives. There are many reasons for getting headaches. But what about migraines?

What is a migraine?

Migraine is a type of headache is often severe. Although any head pain can be miserable, migraines are often disabling. In about 15 percent of cases, these headaches are preceded by a sensory warning sign (aura) as flashing lights, blind spots or tingling in the arm or leg. Migraines are also often accompanied by other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine pain can be excruciating and may incapacitate for hours or even days. Fortunately, pain management of migraine has improved dramatically in the last decade.

What are the signs and symptoms of a migraine?

A typical migraine attack produces some or all of these signs and symptoms:

When left untreated, migraines usually last from four to 72 hours, but the frequency of occurrence can vary from person to person. You may have migraine headaches several times a month or only once or twice a year.

Not all migraines are the same. Eighty-five percent of people suffer from migraine without aura, formerly called common migraine. About 15 percent of adults have migraine headaches with aura, formerly called classic migraines. If you are in the second group, you'll likely have auras that 15 to 30 minutes before your headache begins. You can continue after your headache starts or even occur after your headache begins.

 • Tingling, pins and needles sensations in an arm or leg

 • In rare cases, weakness or problems with speech and language

Magnetic treatment of migraine headaches.

Magnets are known to stimulate production of the hormone to the body, is this action that causes the magnets very effective in the prevention and treatment of migraine.
When the magnets are placed around the head of the electromagnetic pulses generated by the magnetic field causes increased electrical activity in the brain. This increases the conductivity between the nerve pathways, which in turn stimulates the brain areas that are responsible for the production of hormones, ie hormones serotonin and melatonin. Serotonin is the hormone that controls mood, commonly associated with migraine, stress and depression.

Melatonin is responsible for the internal body clock is associated with insomnia, disruption of seasonal dysfunction and migraine. Magnetic fields around the head gradually during a period of days to increase levels of the organs of serotonin and melatonin magnets are known to increase blood levels of endorphins, which hormones are known as happy as they give a feeling of euphoria, but also are the bodies natural painkillers. The combination of these hormones increase 3 will help prevent the onset of a migraine or if you have a migraine it will be less intense, the duration of migraines is significantly reduced.

Common treatments for migraine are:

1. A magnetic field platform pillow. If a platform is used on magnetic pillow a daily basis (found inside your pillowcase, on top of your normal pillow) that actually can reduce the incidence of migraines. As exposed one brain to a strong magnetic field every night, the brain will be stimulated daily to increase production of serotonin, melatonin and endorphins. The effect of this will these hormone levels do not drop to abnormal levels that usually trigger a migraine.

2. A magnetic head band. This is a very functional base and the strap that fits around the head like a sweat band. Contains 800 Gauss / 80 Tesla magnet is carried in my starting a headache / migraine. The disadvantage is that as only used when you have a headache does not work to prevent migraines occur but is effective in treating migraine headaches once they start. Picture It main back is not very attractive to use any many people do not like to use in a public place. This will reduce its effectiveness if your migraines / pain head start out of the house.

3. A magnetic eye mask. This has the same mechanism as the headband, but it is a mask that covers the eyes. This is very soft if you have a migraine-related stress or if you suffer from dizziness, flashing lights or spots clouding his vision during a migraine. People report that the eye mask is very effective in treating migraine pain more in addition to wearing it at the beginning and during a migraine can be used every night during the sleep and have a similar effect to the platform of the pillow.
Prolonged use of magnetic devices can be eliminated altogether migraines hormonally induced and drastically reduce the incidence of migraine from other causes.
